How to play Rectangles
- Every rectangle contains exactly one printed number, and that number is its area. A 6 can be 1×6, 2×3, 3×2 or 6×1 when it fits.
- Press any cell and drag to the opposite corner to preview and place a rectangle. You can also tap two opposite corners.
- Rectangles cannot overlap and must cover every cell. Each finished shape gets its own colour; tap inside one to remove it, or drag across it to redraw that area.
Your first useful move
List the rectangle shapes that could cover a clue’s area. A clue of 6 could occupy a 1×6 or 2×3 rectangle, but nearby clues and the board edge may rule most options out.
