A ninth daily game and new game identities

  • AddedColour Code joins the daily league as its ninth game.
  • ImprovedRival Week lets you choose from every currently active game, including Slant and Colour Fields.
  • ImprovedForty games receive new illustrated logos across the Library, daily cards, challenges and puzzle screens.
  • ImprovedFifteen games receive clearer names, including Blooms, Cross Sums, More or Less, Patchwork and Islands. Previous names remain alongside them to help you find familiar games.
  • ImprovedDaily league totals now include nine games from 14 September. Earlier eight-game results and achievements keep their original scope.

Slant joins the daily puzzles

  • AddedSlant joins daily Just for fun with Easy, Normal and Hard boards. Its larger Ultra and Giga puzzles remain in the Library.

Slant arrives and Beam Route gets deeper

  • AddedSlant joins the Library with diagonal-drawing puzzles from Easy to Giga.
  • ImprovedNew Beam Route puzzles take more planning, with results measured by time.
  • ImprovedSlant can fit its board to the available window, with zoom and Pan for larger puzzles. Mouse clicks no longer leave a distracting focus outline; keyboard focus stays visible.
  • ImprovedBeam Route gains more demanding mirror layouts, connected walls and crossings on Normal and above. Previously started boards retain their original puzzles and results.
  • ImprovedThe rotation vote adds a No preference option for removals and lists only active Library games as possible additions.

  • ImprovedRival Week shows both players’ times, guesses or swaps alongside each result.
  • ImprovedPuzzle screens help protect your timed game from an accidental refresh or page exit.
  • ImprovedEight game icons are refined to make their shapes easier to tell apart at small sizes.

Colour Fields, smoother Battleships and clearer rivalries

  • AddedColour Fields joins the Library: divide the board into two-colour fields that match their numbered clues.
  • AddedColour Fields includes 8×8 Ultra and 10×10 Giga puzzles.
  • ImprovedAfter a Library puzzle, you can choose another from the same game at the same difficulty.
  • ImprovedColour Fields waits briefly before showing a conflict warning, giving you time to finish a quick painting gesture.
  • ImprovedBattleships lets you drag to mark water across several squares, with Undo for the whole stroke.
  • FixedInvalid bent ship groups in Battleships are shown as separate pieces with a warning colour, instead of joined corner-shaped ships.
  • ImprovedRival Week shows your own match in the league list, identifies who is still to play and links directly to unfinished games in today’s line-up.
  • ImprovedA Rival Week day stays provisional until both players finish every agreed game or the day closes. Finished days show clearer winners, draws and waiting states.
  • ImprovedThirty-nine noncompetitive games receive individual icons to make the Library and daily lists easier to scan.

Battleships, custom Rival Week and a clearer Board

  • FixedEqual league point totals now stay tied, including in day wins and head-to-head results.
  • AddedChallenges brings Rival Week, Expeditions and Coach together.
  • RemovedTilt, Paper Fold, Orbit Shift, Switchyard, Warehouse, Toggle, Four Groups and Sum Shift leave the game selection.
  • AddedBattleships joins the Library: locate a fleet using row totals, column totals and directional ship clues, with levels up to 15×15 Giga.
  • ImprovedBattleships appears in the Library chooser, with its fleet inventory stacked clearly beside the board.
  • AddedCustom Rival Week lets each player choose four different games, locking eight shared games when the invitation is accepted.
  • AddedRival Week supports a full upcoming week or the remaining days of this week, starting the day after acceptance. Rematches can reuse your own previous four picks.
  • ImprovedChallenges adds rival search, clearer invitation actions and an attention marker for invitations, responses and today’s unfinished rivalry games. Today includes a shortcut to your challenges.
  • ImprovedYour current Rival Week appears before future invitations, making the active match easier to find.
  • AddedThe Board can show the previous completed week and month as well as the current periods.
  • ImprovedToday’s Board includes members who have started a competitive puzzle, even before their first finish. Starting alone does not earn points.
  • FixedThe mobile navigation bar stays at the bottom of the screen while you scroll long pages.
  • ImprovedThe Library adds game-name search and clearer empty states, while puzzle help and dialog controls are easier to use on small screens.
  • FixedUnfinished or abandoned puzzle results use appropriate ended-state wording and clear onward actions instead of a misleading solved message.
  • ImprovedToday’s completed cards use clearer solved markers and result counts. Post-game standings show one named main badge per player.
  • ImprovedDiscovery cards, achievements, collections and result screens receive clearer artwork, progress treatments and earned-item presentation.
  • AddedLifetime unlimited Plus is extended to all current members and the first 150 members, including future Plus features. Reaching 150 does not switch on play limits.

Expeditions, Coach and a more personal Profile

  • ImprovedJust for fun puts games you play more often nearer the top.
  • AddedThree Expeditions offer themed puzzle journeys, including route choices and a keepsake for completing a journey.
  • AddedCoach provides guided lessons in More or Less, Light Up and Nonograms, separate from ranked puzzles.
  • ImprovedProfile is organised into Overview, Progress, Play, Appearance, Collection, Account and Feedback, with each section loading its own information.
  • AddedOptional personal touches include finishing signatures, avatar finishes, result foldouts and paper, glass or ceramic tiles for More or Less.
  • AddedA personal garden, keepsake shelf and Expedition passports recognise completed puzzles and journeys.
  • AddedFor You session ribbons and private notes, weekly scrapbooks and spoiler-free puzzle prints offer more ways to remember your play.
  • AddedOptional fox, sprout and owl companions and gentle page transitions add character, with Still and reduced-motion preferences respected.
  • ImprovedGlass Lab becomes an included appearance choice and the default for signed-in members who have not saved a look. Existing saved choices stay in place.

Per-game standings and easier updates

  • AddedEach competitive game has its own Today and All-time standings.
  • ImprovedLong-open tabs check for a new version when you return to them. Today explains when an update is needed to show the latest daily game selection.
  • ImprovedSeven game labels become Five Letters, Equation, Lattice, Sun & Moon, Crowns, Trail and Colour Code. Game history and results stay intact.

Appearance editions, period standings and champion badges

  • AddedTwelve appearance editions give you more ways to make HubbardGames your own.
  • AddedThe Board includes this week and this month alongside Today, Yesterday and All-time.
  • AddedCompleted full weeks and months can unlock Weekly Champion and Monthly Champion badges; exact tied leaders qualify together.
  • ImprovedAppearance includes light and dark treatments, previews before saving, a reset to Classic and an account-synchronised choice.
  • ImprovedBoard rows show the name of each player’s main badge, while Profile can still display a three-badge showcase.

A dedicated Library and richer Numberlink puzzles

  • ImprovedThe Library gets its own main navigation tab, separate from For You.
  • AddedFinished a Library puzzle? Play another from the same game without returning to the list.
  • AddedNumberlink expands with 8×8 Giga and 10×10 Tera boards, including Tera puzzles with barriers.
  • ImprovedNew Normal and Hard Numberlink boards use more winding, interwoven paths, with longer routes on Hard.
  • ImprovedNumberlink drawing can be reversed to erase a route. Crossings stop the current stroke, matching endpoints finish it, and blank squares do not restart the previous colour.
  • AddedThe Numberlink Library grows with new Giga and Tera batches, including open 10×10 boards and boards with blocked squares.

Hints that are easier to spot

  • ImprovedMath Mosaic (then Calcdoku) highlights hinted cells with a distinct outline and spatial marker, making hints easier to distinguish from cage colours. The highlighted cell is linked to its explanation for assistive technology.

Pipes joins the league and results become clearer

  • FixedFilled squares, empty marks and focus highlights are easier to tell apart in Nonograms’ dark mode.
  • AddedPipes replaces Mini Sudoku in the daily league after the player vote. Mini Sudoku moves to Just for fun and keeps its earlier league history.
  • FixedFor You shows one Practice standings table after a timed puzzle, removing the duplicate while keeping its Next and countdown controls.

Practice comparisons, answer reveals and clearer puzzle controls

  • AddedLibrary boards show how many players have finished them, with exact-board comparisons available during play and in results. A sole finisher can see their own time and place.
  • AddedMore games offer Give up with an in-app confirmation and a completed-board answer or game-appropriate reveal.
  • ImprovedPuzzle controls have consistent space below the board. Check buttons are removed from screens where automatic completion made them unusable.
  • ImprovedNonogram clues and Cross Sums clues, entered digits and pencil notes scale with the board, making larger desktop puzzles easier to read.
  • ImprovedRegion boundaries in Number Neighbours, Patchwork, Float & Fall and Aquarium use colour as well as line width. Nonograms also distinguishes its groups of five more clearly.
  • AddedJust for fun puzzles show today’s standings beside the board.
  • FixedLattice gold-letter feedback counts remaining copies correctly, so an extra duplicate does not stay gold after the required copy is already in place.
  • FixedMoving to another puzzle of the same game in For You starts with that board’s own state instead of carrying over the previous result dialog.
  • AddedHome offers Refresh now when a new version is ready, allowing players to update without interrupting an active puzzle.

See what you fancy today.
