Find the hidden fleet.

How to play Battleships

  • Numbers outside the board give the exact ship squares in each row and column.
  • Place every ship in the fleet once. Ships are straight horizontal or vertical lines.
  • Ships never touch, even at a corner. White dots mark fixed ship clues; small locks mark fixed sea.
  • Rounded clues show a ship end or a single-square submarine. Square middle clues continue straight through. Ordinary unknown ship marks stay square until their ends are certain. A bent group is invalid and shows separate red pieces.
  • Tap to cycle ship, blue sea and clear, or choose a tool. Drag across blank cells to paint water; ships and fixed clues stay intact. On Giga, select Sea to paint and switch back to scroll. Tap a green row or column total to fill its remaining blank squares with water. Undo and Reset keep your timer running. On the 15×15 Practice Giga board, scroll the enlarged board or switch to Overview.
  • The board finishes automatically once every ship is correctly placed. You do not need to mark all the sea.

Your first useful move

Start with rows and columns that need no ship cells. A confirmed ship part also rules out diagonal neighbours, helping you narrow where the remaining fleet can fit.
