Two colours. One number in every field.

How to play Colour Fields

  • Fill every cell green (triangle) or blue (circle). Numbered cells have fixed colours.
  • A field is a group of the same colour joined across edges. Its number gives its exact cell count, including the numbered cell.
  • Every field must contain exactly one number. Two clues of the same colour cannot join into one field.
  • Corners do not connect fields. Both colours can form several separate fields, and solid 2 by 2 blocks are allowed.
  • Tap to cycle green, blue and clear. Hold and drag to paint one colour, or choose Green, Blue or Erase. Undo reverses one tap or drag; Reset clears your marks. Neither resets the timer.
  • The board finishes automatically when every field is correct. Arrow keys move, Space cycles, G marks green, B marks blue and Delete clears.

Your first useful move

A field that has reached its clue number cannot grow. Its edge neighbours must be the opposite colour, which can force the next field to take shape.
